The Mariemont City School District is committed to the effective use of technology to both enhance the quality of student learning and the efficiency of operations within the school system. Students and staff members are responsible for good behavior while using computers just as they are in classrooms, school hallways and other school premises and other school-sponsored activities.
The district encourages the use and expression of original thought and original content, although with editorial control comes responsibility. Student journalists and performers are expected to establish and enforce standards for their publications/productions that are consistent with professional journalism/theatrical/broadcast and community standards.
Any digital publication or production created by employees or students and posted on the Warrior Watch website is owned by the district. The Board of Education sponsors student publications and productions as means by which students learn, under adult direction/supervision, the rights and responsibilities inherent when engaging in the public expression of ideas and information in our democratic society.
Please reference the Mariemont City School District policies and bylaws, specifically policies 5722, 7540, 7540.01 and 7540.03, for more information regarding technology and Internet privacy, acceptable usage and school-sponsored publications and productions.
